Summary: It’s difficult to write a review for someone’s home after a stay as it could be seen that the writer of the review is a just a chronic complainer. But there were so many findings that truly gave me, and my entire family, the heebie jeebies: One mattress smelled of urine so badly that my daughter felt she had no choice other than to spray it with perfume to hide the smell, the floors which felt so old and dirty that we couldn’t bear to walk barefoot, the coffee maker had not been cleaned and was thick with residue from many previous uses without proper and thorough cleaning, there were dead flies on my other daughter’s bed, of which she decided she couldn’t sleep upon, the sheets were cheap and pilly, the coffee mugs were stained and dirty, the bathroom and upstairs had lingering smells of cigarettes which were hard to bear. Everything was tidy, but felt dirty in part because of the age of the house and the items to fill the home were of low quality (the sheets, towels, curtains, dishes) .The best part was the amazing view and the lovely green Adirondack chairs which added to the enjoyment of the quiet. The ease of getting to Eastport was nice as well.
